Turkey, the Trimmings and Things to be Thankful for!
It was a perfect day with traditional flavors dancing on my taste buds paired with the perfect Pinot Grigio and topped off with a special family recipe selection of homemade pies! The table was set with lots of festive turkeys and crisp white linen with a touch of gold. The candles were lit and their flickering light cast a dreamy haze over the almost fantasy like atmosphere with a beautifully decorated Christmas Tree in the corner covered in golden angels! We began the meal with a blessing thanking the Lord for the good friends and family surrounding us and for their safe arrival and return. Our minds were all on the things that mean the most to each of us from the soldiers in far away lands who are sacrificing being here to give us the chance to, and the bounty that now fills our plates. I pray for peace in the world, for peace in our hearts and for the experience of joy that comes from a life filled with love! Today was another event that will stand out as a day of renewal where I will take away a special goal to remember to always make each day an event!
